Throughout history people have turned to technology to help them solve problems. The following materials are designed to help you use new technology. To start choose the Table of Contents option and begin reading Lesson 1. In this lesson we discuss reasons for studying computer and communication technology and overview how problem-solving tools are used in society. It also examines the four-step IPOS cycle that computers and other tools employ when working. Additionally, Lesson 1 explores situations in which technology cannot or should not be used.
