Scott Falls

DIRECTIONS:

Scott Falls are located eight miles northwest of Munising, Michigan and are located on highway M-28, east of H.J. Rathfoot State Roadside Park. The park is located about 2 miles east of Au Train Michigan. Just like Alger Falls; Scott Falls can be viewed from a car.

Scott Falls DESCRIPTION:

The falls are just a few short steps from M-28 but it is best to walk up for a closer view. The photograph to the left was taken from the bottom of the falls and taken with a Nikon D200, a Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 lens at ISO 100, 1/3 sec - F/8. All the photographs on this page were taken with Aperture priority and the white balance set to cloudy.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS:

Early morning and late evening are the best times to take photographs of Scott Falls; however the middle of the day is also good. The falls sit back in a small bowl and even when the sun gets high in the sky the sky will not get washed out.
