Education and Religion
My undergraduate work was done at Calvin College, majoring in history and English, and minoring in religion and philosophy. I've been a member of Reformed, Episcopalian, Pentecostal and Catholic churches. I received an MA in history from Georgetown University where my mentor was one of the writers of Profiles in Courage. I was raised in the midwest as a staunch Republican Calvinist. I remain moderately both.
