This image editor is part of the Adobe Creative Suite Web Premium package that retailed new in 2007 for $1,199. Because it is now outdated, you can find it as cheap as $399 online. But you can now upgrade to the new CS4 package at Adobe's website for $599 if you own this package or other suite packages that meet the upgrade criteria.

Some of the Tools and Features in Photoshop CS3 Extended Interface
- User Interface - The user interface, although it looks complicated, is very easy to use if you have used Adobe Photoshop's software in the past. The tools window is located by default on the left side of the screen. This tool bar contains small images of all the basic tools you will need to edit your images. If the image in the toolbar has a small triangle in the bottom right corner that means there are more options available for that tool and you can click it to see them. Also when you hover over these images with your cursor, you will get a description of the tool as well as the hot key shortcut to activate that tool. - Filters - There are lots of different filters that you can use in photoshop. Here are some of the basic filters that you can use to edit your images, add textures and special effects.

- Resize and Scale - Under the image drop down select image size and you will see options to resize an image by changing the height and width in percents, pixels, or inches and choose to constrain the proportions so you can scale it or even change the resolution of the images. You can change the document size and what type of measure is used on the document here as well.
