There are many tracks that offer practice and hold races throughout the state of Michigan. Some are part of the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) which for Michigan is the 14th District. The AMA has Disrtricts all over the country and the best from those districts will meet once a year at the Amateur National Championship at Loretta Lynn's. Other tracks in Michigan are considered outlaw tracks or independant because they are not part of the AMA and are operated on their own.So no matter if you just want to have fun and ride with your friends or you want to become a serious racer, Michigan offers some great places to ride and have fun.
Motocross in Michigan is sometimes a hard thing to be part of as the winter months can kill the fun of riding your bike and racing. More and more indoor tracks have been popping up throughout the state to enjoy riding in the winter to keep your skills sharp. Some people will go south for the winter in states such as Florida or Georgia to practice if they can afford to do so. |
